There are three basic components to knowing and selecting a quality commercial indoor wood chair — frame, seat and finish
The commercial indoor wood restaurant chair is a mainstay at many hotels and restaurants across the globe. Throughout history the wooden chair and bench has been supporting butts at medieval pubs, frontier inns and today at hipster craft breweries.
Price
Fortunately for restaurant managers and owners, wood chairs are economically priced. Most commercial chairs have a weight rating over 300 pounds and come in wide or large sizes. Some wood chair styles are also offered in bariatric seating to accommodate large patrons. Indoor wood chairs run the gamut in price starting around $30 on up too several hundred dollars for exotic woods, intricate detail and custom upholstery.
Style
Options are also plentiful in wood chair styilng. The standard commercial wood chair comes in the typical finishes of natural, will have any, cherry, ebony, black, mahogany, walnut and other stains.
Indoor wood chairs can also be customized to match any restaurant’s look. Some establishments like the buttoned up look of matching the frame color with the seat color. Others prefer a more eclectic look and mix the frame color and seat colors. An example would be a wood chair frame in mahogany finish with a natural wood seat, or vice versa. Chairs can be further customized with upholstry either in vinyl or any other fabric or material. Generally, any indoor wood chair frame can have its own custom upholstered seat and any vinyl thickness, quality or materials specified by the client.
Frame
The frame of an indoor commercial wood chair also varies in styles. The first category of styles is the ladderback wood chair, which offers several lateral rungs in the back of the chair. These horizontal slats can vary in quantity as well as thickness. Another option for chairs is the vertical back seat back in a chair frame. These vertical slats can also vary in thickness, quantity, and styles to change the look of each share. A popular modern look is that of the solid wood seat back (see above photo). The last common indoor wood restaurant chair style is the windowpane. This crosshatch look cycles in and out of style.
