Samuel Adams Brewing the American Dream
Samuel Adams Brewing the American Dream is a philanthropic program that was created by The Boston Beer Company to support small business owners in the food, beverage and hospitality industry by providing accessible financing, as well as business and financial literacy tools and assistance. In partnership with ACCION USA, the country’s leading not-for-profit micro-lending organization, the program provides microloans, coaching and access to networks so that hard-working, passionate food & beverage and hospitality business owners can practice their craft, create jobs and help build vibrant communities.
Since its launch in 2008, the program has loaned over $600,000 to more than 80 small business owners in New England, the Lehigh Valley in Pennsylvania, NYC, Ohio, and to craft brewers nationwide in the process creating or saving more than 600 jobs.
The Samuel Adams Brewing the American Dream fund provides much-needed capital that is often out of reach to lower and moderate income small business owners, who otherwise would not be approved for a bank loan. Food, beverage and hospitality small business owners, as well as craft brewers, can apply for loans from $500 to $25,000 to expand or start a business, purchase inventory or equipment, market a business, pay licensing fees, among other things.
